ATOMKRAFT: Previously Unseen Video Footage Posted Online
November 20, 2006Two new videos from British metal legends ATOMKRAFT have been posted on their YouTube web site. Both clips are montages from the band's storied career. A description of each video is as follows:
"Foliage" (video): ATOMKRAFT was formed in 1979 by Tony "Demolition" Dolan, Steve White and Paul Spillett. White left in 1983 and was replaced by Neil Render. Spillett left in 1984 and was replaced by Ged Wolf (TYSONDOG). Render left and was replaced by Rob "Redhead" Matthew in 1985. They signed to Neat Records that same year and released "Future Warriors".
"Devil's Reign" (video): Formed in 1979 by Tony Dolan and Paul Spillett, ATOMKRAFT also featured Steve White on guitar. The band recorded several demos and also recorded live material from their many live performances prior to being signed by Neat Records in 1985. Of most interest are 1981's "Demon" demo, 1983's "Total Metal" demo and 1985's "Pour The Metal In" demo. A reconfigured band made their album debut in 1985 with "Future Warriors", followed by the "Queen Of Death" EP (1986) and "Conductors Of Noize" mini-LP (1987). This video montage is from a 1988 show in Poland. The video features Ian Swift on vocals, Tony Dolan on guitar, Ged Wolf on drums, DC Rage on bass and Rob "Redhead" Matthew on guitar. The audio track features all except Rage, as the bass duties were handled by Dolan. The track is from the final ATOMKRAFT recordings with the lineup minus Rage from '88 for the proposed album "Atomized".
